AHA Housing Development Corporation (“AHA-HDC”) is an affiliate of the Albuquerque Housing Authority
AHA-HDC is organized as New Mexico nonprofit corporation to finance, develop, construct, manage, and provide affordable housing to low income families, individuals, the elderly and disabled in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area.
AHA-HDC was formed in 2018 to assist and support its “parent” housing authority, the Albuquerque Housing Authority, in the development and operation of affordable housing in the Albuquerque area.
AHA-HDC’s mission is to support the federal law and state law mission and purpose of the Albuquerque Housing Authority.
AHA-HDC’s key function will be to act as a nonprofit, full-purpose “developer” and “co-developer” on various projects seeking to expand and modernize the housing provided by the Albuquerque Housing Authority.
The Board of Directors of AHA-HDC is the same as the Board of Commissioners of the Albuquerque Housing Authority. Likewise, the executive management team for AHA-HDC is the same as the executive management team of the Albuquerque Housing Authority.
